Austin talks about the gasoline tax.

Austin: Georgians have been living a charmed life when it comes to the price of gasoline. At least it certainly feels that way. That's right. Gasoline taxes, which have been suspended in the state of Georgia for quite a while now, being reinstated this week. If you haven't noticed, the price at your favorite pump going up, it's going to pretty quickly. $0.30 a gallon.
Now, folks, if you want to live with permanent gas prices stuck the way that they are right now, move to California, move to New Jersey, move to Chicago, move to New York City, where they've got exorbitant gas taxes in all the time. If you don't like that, though, stick to a red state. Texas, Georgia, Florida, places like that where the gas taxes are far more reasonable.
I'm telling you, though, better than that, if you want to bring the cost of gasoline down permanently, stick with Republican and conservative candidates for president of the United States. Joe Biden helped put us in the fix that we're in right now as far as our dependency on foreign oil. Because he did everything in his power through executive orders to curtail the American gas supply the day he was put into office.
And if anyone tells you differently, they're lying to you. And if you believe them, you're not very bright. If you want lower gas prices consistently vote conservative. If you want higher gas prices, if you want to be forced to drive an electric car, keep doing business in a political sense with the Democrats because that's the road they're taking you down.
Unbelievable that people are still swallowing that garbage in the year 2023. Well, welcome to higher taxes on your gasoline. Democrats want it that way permanently. And that's the comment, I'm Austin Rhodes, AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
