It's been nearly 2 years since 75-year-old Hilton Turner Sr. and his wife, 73-year-old Jeannette Turner, were found brutally murdered in their home in Augusta.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the Turner's were found dead in their home at 126 E. Hale Street on February 17, 2021 at 3:25 pm.  The Turner's children announced three months later they were offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or arrests in the case, but the case remains unsolved.

"The Turners were both retired, upstanding members of the community.  Jeannette Turner was mostly bed-ridden and was cared for by Hilton Turner Sr.," according to a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

When the Murders Took Place

Investigators say they believe the Turners were shot and killed sometime after 6:40 pm on February 16.

They are again asking for any information that could lead to an arrest or arrests in the case.  "The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is requesting the assistance of the community with identifying the person(s) responsible for this heinous act of violence."

The Turners' Family is Still Offering a Reward in the Case

The Turners' family reminds the public they are still offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.  Family members say they believe there is someone who knows something and can help investigators with leads in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080.  Information can be kept anonymous/confidential if necessary.
