The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle accident this morning in Aiken County.

Authorities say the driver lost control of the vehicle on I-20 near mile marker 22 around 8:40 am Sunday.  Coroner Darryl Ables says 61-year-old Timothy K. Arrell of Warrenville veered off the road and was thrown from the motorcycle into the median.  Arrell died at the scene.  No other information has been released yet.

On Saturday, The Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene of a deadly accident in Burke County.  The crash was reported at 7:00 am on Highway 25 south at Idlewood Road.  A 23-year-old woman from Augusta was killed in the crash.  Her name has still not been released.

Friday evening, a deadly accident involving a pedestrian was reported in Aiken County.  Coroner Darryl Ables says 60-year-old Jacqueline Parker was hit by a car at 7:15 pm as she was crossing Columbia Highway north near East Frontage Road.  Authorities say Parker was trying to cross the highway to check on a family member who had just been involved in a wreck when she was hit.  Parker was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Centers where she died as a result of her injuries.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.  Parker's body has been sent to Newberry for an autopsy.
