A new family-owned business just opened in the former location of Munchies Lab. Coleman's Lunch Box is owned by Chef Norman C. Coleman and his wife, Rhonda Coleman.
Munchies Lab was a restaurant located right outside of Downtown Augusta, that announced its closing last month. They stated via social media that the last day of operation would be September 16.
The restaurant had a soft opening this past Tuesday, October 23. The grand opening will be held next Monday, October 30. Their current hours are Monday- Saturday 10 am – 9:30 pm. The exact location of the restaurant is 1022 Walton Way Suite A.
Their menu has a variety of items, from wings to burgers to Philly cheesesteaks and more.
They also have some eye-catching items on their menu, such as the honey bun bacon cheeseburger. It's just as it sounds - bacon, cheese, and a hamburger patty placed between a honey bun.
Munchies Lab stated that they closed because they didn't get much foot traffic. While they have been hoping to find a new location, the concept has had trouble being welcomed around the community, which has made it a bit difficult to settle down in a new location.
