Bomb Threat Leads to Suspicious Package and Arrest in Richmond County
There was a heavy police presence on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway following a bomb threat late this morning.
The Richmond County Sheriffs’ Office got the call at 11:15 a.m. and sent their Bomb Squad to the scene to further investigate at the Social Security Administration Office.
Investigators say a suspicious package was located and a suspect was taken into custody. “Because this incident occurred at a federal office, the investigation was turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).”
