Austin talks about making an example of Matt Gaetz.

Transcript:

Austin: If you're part of a normal family, chances are you have internal spats every now and then. Fathers don't get along with daughters. Sometimes sons and mothers clash. Husbands, wives, siblings. It happens. But there's a difference between internal squabbles that you keep within the confines of your house and the kind of fights that make it out into the street, into the yard.

Oh, my goodness. That's when the cops get involved and the jail report and Jerry Springer, etc., etc.. That's exactly what has happened with the Republicans over the course of the last several weeks and months. And Matt Gaetz led the charge and he is the chief in my humble. Even Atticus is singing about this. I know I agree with you. A bunch of crazy people. I think Atticus thinks Matt Gaetz needs to be fixed.

I'd like to. I like to see Matt Gaetz fixed. I'd like to see Matt Gaetz kicked out of the Congress. They can expel him. The Republicans can expel him. I know. I'm trying to tell him, Atticus. The Republicans can definitely expel Matt Gaetz, and they need to do that. And you can't expel all eight because then you'll lose the majority of the House. But you can expel the chief ringleader of this group. And an example needs to be set.

What has happened here is inexcusable. Whatever beef existed in the Republican Party was not enough to expel Kevin McCarthy over and to think that the Democrats gleefully went along with this when for years and years and years the Republicans could have done similar things to Democrats is just unspeakable. But it just goes to show you how all bets are off. Now, decorum is out the window. The norms don't apply anymore. And if the Democrats want to play these games, man, we can get nasty right back at them.

And I'm beginning to think that perhaps we should. Then again, are we the same party that they are? Do we behave the way that they do? Do we advocate that women should be playing against natural born males in women's sports? Do we believe that police departments need to be defunded? Do we believe that no cash bond is something that's needed in inner cities where violent crime is rampant? No, we're not those stupid people. We need to do better because we are better. We have better political philosophies and we are smarter people. We need to do better. Yesterday, we did not. Matt Gaetz needs to go. Flush it. Right, Atticus? Right. And that's the comment, I'm Austin Rhodes, AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC. [00:00:00][0.0]
