After 20 years of being in the Old Evans Plaza, Rosie Mendez has decided it is time for a new beginning. She is taking her business on the road! Mendez will be setting up at events, festivals, and concerts as a vendor space. She already has some vendor spots lined up for October and November.

Over this past week, there have been several markdowns in the store.

They are not the only ones in the Plaza headed for a new beginning. Long-time neighbor, Mosh Pits Eats, has decided they will be using this as an opportunity to expand.

They have loved being neighbors with Mendez over the years. It is a bittersweet situation to see her go, but an exciting moment for the restaurant to be able to grow into her former space.

Mosh pits specialize in sandwiches, wraps, pasta salads, green salads, fruit bouquets, and gourmet strawberries. They also have coffee and unique candles.

They will expand into the former retail shop by knocking away a few walls. The restaurant is currently only for takeout. With this new expansion, they are hoping to grow the space into a sit-down restaurant. They are aiming to have customers seated by Thanksgiving.

With the expansion, they will even be testing out different hours. Currently, they close at 5 pm, now they will be testing out dinner hours in the new space on Thursdays and Fridays.
