Speaker 1: [00:00:03] intrigued me. One thing about the state of Nevada that I've always loved, aside from gambling, is the concept of no income tax. Florida is the same way. Man, you got to love that, right? I thought maybe a paradise for people to retire to in Nevada until I stopped by to fill up my rental car before dropping it off at the airport.
Gas was more than $2 a gallon more in Nevada than it is in Georgia. Did a little research on it. You know why? Nevada depends on California for their oil supply, their gas supply. Every drop of gasoline pumped in Nevada comes straight from California, which means all the fees, all the taxes are embedded and, of course, the short supply.
And why is that? Well, they're force feeding electric cars down everyone's throat out west. And as a result, gasoline's going to be far more expensive. One of the most frustrating things in the world, folks and I got to tell you, I am really amazed that politically they're not shifting over to the conservative side of things in the wake of what's going on. A lot of those folks in conversation with them this past weekend, I've come to find out, have just been beaten down into submission when it comes to high gasoline prices and high taxes when it comes to their real estate.
I don't know any other way to put it. They rely incredibly on tourist dollars to come in and alleviate a lot of that problem. And boy, they got a lot for your mind, no doubt about it. But the bottom line, I think when it comes to political philosophy, I'll stick with conservatives in the southeastern states and our much lower cost of living, our much more reasonable cost of living and, our much more reasonable political arena, if you ask me. And that's the comment. I'm Austin Rhodes. AM 580/95.1 FM WGAC. [00:00:03][0.0]
