Austin’s Daily Commentary – September 25, 2023

Austin: Sorry about all that crowd noise at the beginning of the intro of the commentary, the folks here in Las Vegas were cheering Kenny Pickett as he ran off the field. In case you're wondering, I am in Las Vegas. Actually, I'm on the way home as you're hearing this, after watching my Steelers hand it to the Raiders in front of an incredible crowd. But that's not the point of the commentary, is it? No.

Point of the commentary is to tell you that this afternoon, Augusta Mayor Garnett Johnson will be sitting in the host seat while I am on my way back to town. So one thing you can count on with Mayor Garnett Johnson, he is going to be straight with you no matter what. There have been some tough, tough challenges that he's had in his first year in office here, and it's not quite yet complete that first year in office. But he is learning as he goes.

And I got to tell you, I don't think that we've had a better mayor or at least a mayor that's more suited for the job in quite some time. Looking forward to seeing far more from this great leader. And this afternoon, you'll have a chance to interact with him personally.

So be listening in this afternoon from three until six, as Augusta Mayor Garnet Johnson takes the guest mic and handles things for me on the Austin Road show.
