Austin talks about the GOP Primary Debate.

Austin: [00:00:00] One thing became abundantly clear last night. President Trump made the right decision in staying away from the GOP primary debate. The field of candidates is still far too large for any benefit to come to the frontrunner. Sticking his toe in those waters, he still was very, very present topic, no doubt about that.

But last night, Ramaswamy Vivek Ramaswamy really established himself, I think, as potentially the guy to watch in these races. We have gotten to know DeSantis over the years. Nikki Haley is not an unknown entity to us, but Vivek Ramaswamy represents, in my opinion, the Trump factor in this race. Trump aside himself got to say, it’s time for a couple of these guys to get out of the race.

For instance, Mike Pence clearly, in my opinion, does not belong in this race. He is not accepted by folks. I don’t know what it is about the vice presidency. Kamala Harris has much the same popular response among many of the folks that should be approving of the Democratic agenda. She just doesn’t register with voters. I think the same thing could be said for Mike Pence and perhaps that it is time for him to go ahead and step aside.

Right now, it looks like it’s Ron DeSantism Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, maybe Tim. Tim Scott. I got to tell you, it was very, very disappointing that there was not more of a definitive separation of the candidates last night. But again, aside from Ramaswamy, I’m not seeing an emerging star so far. Stay tuned. It’s going to get very interesting. Donald Trump is going to stay away until there’s a reason for him to show up. And right now, there’s not much of one.  And that’s the comment, I’m Austin Rhodes AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
