North Augusta Department of Public Safety is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.  They have partnered with Shepeard Community Blood Center and are hosting it in memory of PSO Dustin Beasley and in honor of Sgt. Andy Cook.

The drive will be at the North Augusta Public Safety Hut at 501 East Buena Vista Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  No appointment is necessary.  When you donate, you'll be entered into a drawing for a gift basket.

There continues to be a major need for blood donation in the Augusta area.  Each donation can save up to 3 lives.  And all donations stay here in our community.

Shepeard Community Blood Center is a non-profit blood center that is a contracted provider for 23 hospitals in 30 counties across our area.

Are You Eligible To Donate?

According to the Shepeard Community Blood Center website, you must be at least 17 years old or older.  You must also weigh at least 110 pounds. Sixteen year olds can donate with a signed parental consent form.

Female donors must have a minimum iron level of 12.5 and male donors must have a minimim of level of 13.
