Early voting begins today for next week's runoff in the Aiken Republican primary race for mayor.

There's a runoff between incumbent Rick Osbon and restauranteur Teddy Milner.  Osbon had 42% of the vote, but it wasn't enough to win the primary outright.  Osbon has been Mayor of Aiken since 2015.

Anyone can vote early in the Republican runoff, including Democrats and those who did not vote in the August 8 primary.

Early voting is from 8:30 am until 5 pm today through this Friday, August 18, at the Aiken County election office at 1930 University Parkway.

Keep in mind those who vote early will be asked to have one of four types of photo identification including a South Carolina driver's license, South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles identity card, a U.S. Passport or federal military identification.

The runoff election will be held August 22. The Republican nominee will be unopposed in the November general election.
