Austin: [00:00:00] It was a daily conversation in my house. Austin, did you do your homework? Yes, I did. And your test this week? Fine. How’s it looking on your term paper? Oh, it’s going fine. Oh, my goodness gracious. I had a line for everything.
And by the way, there was never a time when Mom and Dad didn’t ask about my academic progress, when I didn’t give them a positive report. About half the time, I was completely fibbing through my nose. But at the same time, Mom and dad always asked, you know, in the year 2023, you don’t have to trust little Austin or Little Junior in your life as to whether or not they are telling you the truth when they are updating you on their academic progress or perhaps on the, let’s just say, the status update on your on your term paper.
You can log in to what’s known as iParent or the classroom portal and check out your children’s academic standing in the classroom and in all of their classes. It is a daily updated computer program that is, I believe, in place in every single local system, certainly in the public school system. Not sure what the private schools and the public school system all over the CSRA, no matter what county you’re in. Aiken County, Richmond County, Columbia County, you can go online and check your child’s daily academic progress.
Oh my goodness gracious. Would my life have been made much, much worse had this particular surveillance tool been used in my life? By the way, I would have done much better academically because my parents were constantly aware of what was going on. I had to pay more attention and do better. But boy, I could I could really pull the wool over their eyes back in the day. Can’t do that anymore. A conscientious parent knows what their kid’s doing every single day because they can keep up with them online. That’s the comment, I’m Austin Rhodes. AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC. [00:00:00][0.0]
