Fifty Grande has published a list of best cities to move to, and a Georgia city made the top five. "Nearly everyone has a time when they need a change of scenery: when their hometown or the place they moved after college just isn’t cutting it anymore, when they’re either getting bored, priced out or looking for a new start," Fifty Grande explains. Their list aims to help guide those who are looking to move, but don't know where to start.
The Georgia city that Fifty Grande named the best to move to is only 20 miles north of Atlanta.
#6 Sandy Springs
The first key feature of Sandy Springs that Fifty Grande points out is the encouraging employment opportunities. They say, "The job market here is solid, sitting well under the national unemployment average at 2 percent, bolstered by big companies like Cox Enterprises, WestRock, and UPS."
Sandy Springs contains nine public schools and two high schools. The city is accessible by two major highways, Georgia 400 and Interstate 285. If you don't like driving or do not have a car, public transportation is available. MARTA’s (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) bus and train routes stop throughout the area.
What Is Unique About Sandy Springs?
Well, there is a forest in the actual city. Hiking the trails through John Ripley Forbes Big Trees Forest, you will see 30 acres of oak trees. In some cases, they are up to 200 years old. Morgan Falls Overlook Park is also a popular place for hiking of fishing.
If you are looking for shopping and entertainment, there are 15 different strip malls in Sandy Springs. Jeff Foxworthy and Ryan Seacrest also have roots here. Foxworthy started out as a regular performer at The Punch Line Comedy Club. In addition, Ryan Seacrest (who grew up 10 minutes away in Dunwoody) founded his original Seacrest Studios at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Sandy Springs.
If you are looking for a more relaxed big city feel that is still close to the state capital, it is clear why Sandy Springs, Georgia was named one of the best cities to move to in America.
Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. "Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now," they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
"If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in," Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt - Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. "It’s evident that each was built with love and intention," Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That's where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. "We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately." Live A Little Chatt says.
