Austin talks the judicial process and the duty to address problems.
Transcript:
Austin: [00:00:00]Such an interesting time to be alive if you are an observer of the judicial process, and particularly presidential politics. If you had ever told me a few years ago that Donald Trump would be in the kind of trouble that he’s in primarily for trying to get to the bottom of allegations of election fraud in the 2020 election, I don’t know that I would have believed you.
We just wrapped up a couple of criminal cases, in Augusta-Richmond County did not end the way that some people wanted them to end. The attorneys for both sides presented their cases and were adamant in court that they were right and the other person was wrong. None of those folks are going to be prosecuted because that, again, is the legal process.
If a presidential candidate and his team actually believe there is a problem with the way that votes are being tabulated, that illegal votes are being counted, perhaps, and ineligible voters are participating. They have a duty. They have a right to object to that process and see it through to the very end.
I don’t see where Donald Trump and his team did anything more than that. But then again, I haven’t seen all the evidence in the case. What did they believe and when did they believe it? That’s the key to making sure that Donald Trump maintains his defense. Well, that’s the key for Donald Trump to get off and or defend the claims against him as the better way to put it.
Complicated, yes, but really a simple equation at the end. Did he honestly know he was lying? Was he lying or was he simply mistaken? Good question. And I guess we’ll see. And that’s the comment, I’m Austin Rhodes AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC. [00:00:00][0.0]
