Georgia Restaurant Named A Best Brewpub In America
When you think of the perfect brewpub, craft beer, handheld food, and a circle of friends typically come to mind. USA Today‘s 10Best recently named the best brewpubs around the country that exemplify these qualities, and a Georgia pub was included on the list.
A requirement for these establishments is that they must “serve their own house beers — often alongside guest taps or cans,” and offer “a menu of tasty food options.”
Before we swing open the doors of this local watering hole, let’s further examine what differentiates a classic brewpub.
Beer and Brewing defines it by saying, “The Brewpub is a modern business model for an ancient practical concept: serving and selling beer on the premises where it is brewed.” Furthermore, a standard brewpub is essentially a hybrid between a restaurant and brewery. These places have a hometown and local feel. Often they are named after a person or place relevant to the geographical location. Lastly, the menu pairs well with the beers they offer. Whether that’s a juicy burger, salad, or shared appetizer, the theme centers around sharing a good time. Over a pint, of course.
The Georgia restaurant that is one of the best brewpubs in the country was actually ranked #2 among the entire list.
From the Earth Brewing Company – Roswell
A little over 20 miles north of Atlanta, you will find From the Earth Brewing Company. Located at 1570 Holcomb Bridge Road, this unique establishment blends farm-to-table with craft beer. “The brewpub’s commitment to sourcing as freshly and as locally as possible shines through,” 10Best says.
“We want to give back to our local food partners; one way is by giving our spent grain from brewing to local farmers to feed their cattle and animals,” states co-owner Tim Stevens.
Nine house drafts are currently on the menu. If you can’t decide which sounds best, you can order a flight. This is a sampler of four options poured into 5oz smaller glasses.
An example From The Earth Brewing’s farm-to-table and beer mashup includes a draft like the “Pineapple Express.” It consists of a Berliner Weisse with Pineapple and Mango.
This Georgia restaurant also practices what they preach with their food options. Examples of this are the beer-battered grouper or the duck confit pasta.
Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. “Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now,” they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
“If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in,” Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt – Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. “It’s evident that each was built with love and intention,” Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That’s where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. “We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately.” Live A Little Chatt says.
