Georgia Has the No. 4 Best Economy in the U.S.
When looking across America, every state has a different economy. If you live in Georgia, the good news is that Georgia has the No. 3 best economy in America, according to a new study.
The research comes from CNBC.com. As for methodology, CNBC states, “To determine which states have the best economy, we look at overall economic growth and annual job growth on a percentage basis, as well as the health of state finances. We also look at the overall health of the housing market.” They also measure the breadth of each state’s economy by studying how many major corporations are headquartered there. Also, they looked at the entrepreneurial economy based on new business formations.
In total, CNBC named 10 strong economies. No. 5 was Tennessee, followed by Georgia at No. 4, North Carolina at No. 3 and Texas at No. 2. Florida took the stop spot. As for regional trends, the Southeast was tops across America for economic strength this year. Also, it was interesting to me that Indiana was the only “Midwest” state on the list.
