Georgia Destination Named A Best All-Inclusive Resort In America

You check in, head up to your room, and put the wallet away for your stay. There’s a heightened level of relaxation when the trip you’re on has everything already included. Travel and Leisure published a report on the best all-inclusive destinations in America for 2023, and a resort in Georgia was first on the list.

Often travelers think of island paradise locations when considering all-inclusive trips to take. While there certainly are amazing options in places like the Caribbean, there are now some under-the-radar escapes within the country. All-you-can-eat and drink options are included in your vacation booking. There’s no need for a passport. And driving a few hours might be a more attractive option than spending a day in an airport and in a plane.

As Travel and Leisure points out, booking an all-inclusive resort is very helpful in properly budgeting costs. “While private sessions like spa treatments are rarely included, it’s easier to factor in extras because you know exactly how much you’re spending upfront,” they explain.

So, what is this Georgia destination that was named one of the best all-inclusive resorts in America? Let’s hop in the car and find out.

The Lodge on Little St. Simons Island

“The lodge is your home base for exploring the island. Surrounded by moss-draped oaks and golden marshes, each of our historic cottages is individually appointed, and as storied as the Island itself,” The Lodge explains. This quaint resort accommodates up to 32 guests, so a private and quiet time is assured.

You have to take a boat to get there. Upon arrival, you will be met with a nature-lovers paradise. In addition to the wildlife, the Lodge is situated within the 11,000 acres of Georgia’s Golden Isles. Travel and Leisure explains what the luxury all-inclusive experience entails. They explain “meals, non-alcoholic beverages, naturalist-guided excursions, boat transfers to and from the island, and unlimited access to island activities and recreation gear,” are included.

America is known for many good things, from fast food to NFL football to land as far as the eye can see. It’s also known for having lots and lots of beautiful lakes, including one Georgia lake.

With so many lakes across the United States, you’re probably within driving distance of a fantastic lake of some sort. So, which lakes are the absolutely best in America? It’s a tough question. I mean, everyone looks for something different in a lake. Some people love large lakes that look almost like the ocean, while other thrive at small, inland lakes where you can always see the shore. But, there are some lakes that stand above the rest when it comes to beauty and popularity.

I’ve put together a list of the “11 Most Beautiful Lakes in America,” offering a little bit of something for everyone. These lakes are found all across America, so wherever you live, one of these probably is relatively close to you. We’re heading into the perfect season to visit a lake, too. For those who aren’t lucky enough to live near the ocean, going to a lake is the next best thing. One famous Georgia lake is included in here.   • Lake Santeetlah, North Carolina
