A suspect has been arrested in connection with an Aiken murder at the Palmetto Crossing apartment complex in Aiken nearly two years ago.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety says Richard Lee Garvin Jr. is now in custody. He is charged with the shooting death of  34-year-old TyQuan Graham on November 29, 2020, on Sandlapper Drive.

Suspect Arrested in 2020 Palmetto Crossing Murder

The coroner's office says Graham died of at least one gunshot wound.

Garvin's arrest Tuesday follows an investigation by Aiken Public Safety, the ATF RAGE Task Force, FBI, Second Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office, Barnwell County Sheriff's Office, Barnwell Police Department, Allendale County Sheriff's Office, and Aiken County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.

A news release from Aiken Public Safety says this is still an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected. Anyone with information related to this Aiken murder is asked to contact Aiken Public Safety or Midlands Crime Stoppers.
