Missing Aiken County Runaway Teen Found

The Aiken Department of Public Safety says 15-year-old Aiken Conaster was found around 7 am today at a home in Rabun County, Georgia.

A news release says investigators followed leads and received information on Aiden's whereabouts, then contacted local authorities there for assistance.

Aiden, who had been missing since July 12, appeared to be in good health this morning, but was taken to a local medical facility for further evaluation, according to Aiken authorities.

"The Aiken Department of Public safety would like to extend a large amount of appreciation to our community for their concern and information that was provided throughout this investigation," according to the Aiken Public Safety news release.  They added this remains an active criminal investigation regarding the help provided to Aiden while he was a runaway.
