Motorists will encounter some eastbound lane closures on I-20 near the Georgia/South Carolina state line starting tonight.

Starting at 9 pm today, July 10, Georgia Department of Transportation crews will be working on the Exit 1 lanes, including resetting temporary barrier walls from the exit entrance to the Martintown Road Bridge as the Savannah River Bridge Project nears completion.

Then Wednesday, July 12, the right lane will close on I-20 eastbound from mile marker 200 in Georgia through mile marker 1 in South Carolina starting at 10 pm.  The lane closure will allow crews access to set Savannah River Bridge beams  That work is expected to be finished by 7 am Thursday,

Both the right lane, as well as the shoulder of I-20 eastbound, may be impacted.  Motorists should expect delays and drive with caution through the work zone.
