Some Van’s Frozen Waffles Recalled

Van's Gluten-Free Original Waffles are being recalled due to an undeclared wheat allergen, according to the Department of Health.

The voluntary recall by Van's International Foods was announced Wednesday and includes products that are labeled with Lot Code #UW40193L and have an expiration date of 1/19/24.  No other Van's products are included in the recall.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the recalled product.  Those who have a recalled product should either dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

The recalled waffles were shipped to retail stores and distribution centers in seven states, including Georgia.
