The annual Hiring Our Heroes Fort Gordon Career Summit is back! This is a huge hiring event put on by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Gordon Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The event is coming to Fort Gordon this Thursday, June 22, from 9 am to 4 pm. It will take place at the Gordon Catering and Center.
The hiring event is intended for military members transitioning out of the service and military spouses, but it's also open to anyone in the CSRA.
TAP provides counseling, employment, and education resources for those transitioning from military life to civilian life, ensuring that the process is as smooth as possible.
Over 350 job seekers will be there and many of them are ready to hire on the spot. If you are currently looking for a job this summer and beyond, this could be you!
Some of the companies that will be in attendance are Honeywell, Booz Allen Hamilton, Kimberly Clark, Lockheed Martin, Penske, Piedmont Airlines, and Zebra Technologies.
There will also be a networking reception on Wednesday, June 21 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Since the event is open to everyone, NON DOD-ID card holders will need to pre-register for a visitors pass. Or get a visitors pass the day of the event at the Fort Gordon visitors center.
