The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says authorities are still looking for the person or persons responsible for the death of a local teenager at a recent Splat Party in Augusta.

The event was held April 6 at the McDuffie Woods Community Center in the 3400 block of Old McDuffie Road.

Investigators say 15-year-old Zaire Person was shot and killed while a large Splat Party was taking place at the community center.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is asking for any help from the community regarding information that could lead to an arrest or arrests in the case.

A statement from the Sheriff's Office says, "This was a senseless crime committed on a juvenile and the suspect(s) need to be held accountable.
