Graniteville Teenager Shot and Killed in Aiken Monday Night
The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating a deadly shooting last night in Aiken.
Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables says 19-year-old Amari Williams of Graniteville was shot in the head around 7:20 pm Monday on Redd Street near Tennessee Avenue in Aiken. He was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Centers where he died a short time later. Investigators say Williams was sitting in a parked vehicle on Redd Street when they found him after getting a report of a shooting there.
Williams’ body is being sent to Newberry for an autopsy.
