A local couple has made a generous gift to Augusta University paving the way for The Alvin and Yvette Harris Sports Performance Center for student-athletes there.

The new sports training center will be constructed on the upper mezzanine on the south side of Christenberry Fieldhouse on the Forest Hills Campus.

The Harris Sports Performance Center will be equipped with fitness machines, free weights and other tools for boosting strength, while also providing training and conditioning to help prevent injuries.
