A woman drove herself to the Grovetown Police Department this afternoon and told authorities she had just shot her stepfather.

Forty-four-year-old Tasha Lawrence told police she went to her mother's home in the 2000 block of Grove Landing Way to bring her flowers.  She said her stepfather, 67-year-old Clarence Jordan was sitting in the garage when she arrived.

Lawrence admitted she and Jordan have had an ongoing disagreement.  She said she went to her car, retrieved a gun and shot Jordan multiple times.  He is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, but there's no word on his condition.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots, then saw Lawrence drive off.

After turning herself in to Grovetown authorities, Lawrence was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.  She's being held in the Columbia County Detention Center.
