Augusta, Georgia Receives 2023 Georgia County Excellence Award
The CSRA has been growing each day and it doesn’t look like that growth will be stopping anytime soon. There have been new restaurants, new shops, and new parks to come about. One of the latest changes brought to the area has been modernizing of the 5th Street Pedestrian Bridge. The Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) recognized this transformation and has named Augusta, Georgia a recipient of the 2023 Georgia County Excellence Award for the bridge.

The 5th Street Pedestrian Bridge stretches 1,201 feet across the Savannah River.
The historic bridge not only offers views, but it’s a spot where people can enjoy Wi-Fi, benches, charging stations, art, and water fountains.
