A Baltimore, Maryland man who is believed to have shot and killed a 13-year-old boy in Augusta last month is still on the run.

Richmond County Investigators say 30-year-old Gregory Louis Thornton is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 13-year-old Buddy Brown Jr. outside the Richmond Summit Apartments in the 700 block of Broad Street.  Brown was shot in the middle of the night when he reportedly went outside to get food being delivered.

Thornton, who was visiting Augusta at the time, reportedly returned to Baltimore after the shooting.  Law enforcement there say Thornton fled with a female in a 2013 black Chevy camero when they attempted to serve him with warrants.  He is still being sought and authorities believe he is still in the Baltimore area.

Thornton is black, 5'9" and weighs 175 pounds.  He has multiple tattoos, including some covering his neck.

When taken into custody, Thornton will be charged with Murder, Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
