Augusta Man Charged with McDonald’s Employee’s Murder
A McDonald's employee was shot and killed in the restaurant's parking lot early Sunday morning on Peach Orchard Road.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 1:20 a.m. They found 19-year-old Daquantavious Proctor dead from at least one gunshot wound.
Investigators said they were looking for 19-year old Sameelya Grant and an unknown young, black male in connection with the shooting. Grant was taken into custody earlier today. The list of charges against her has not been released yet.
They have since said 23-year-old Xavier Daquan Hatcher has been taken into custody and charged with Proctor's murder. Hatcher has also been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Investigators say no further information will be released at this time.
