Voters in District 6 and in Blythe go to the polls Tuesday, March 21, to fill one school board seat, elect a new mayor in Blythe, and fill one city council seat there.

The District 6 seat on the Richmond County School Board has been vacant since the death of  Tyrique Robinson.  Robinson died unexpectedly, just days after the November General Election.

Former school board member A.K. Hasan agreed to fill the seat on an interim basis, until a new school board member could be elected.

Ed LaJoie and Tom Cobb are in the running for the mayor's office in Blythe.  Three people are in the running for a vacant seat on the Blythe City Council including U.S. Army Veteran Michael Rineer, Phillip Stewart, and Rebecca Bartlett Newsome

Less than 60 registered voters in those districts took advantage of the three weeks of early voting for tomorrow's election.

Polls will be open Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Those who aren't sure of their eligibility and polling location can check by visiting www.myvoterpage.com.
