Two People Sought For Deadly Shooting at McDonald's

A Richmond County teen died after a shooting at the McDonald’s in the 3100 block of Peach Orchard Road early this morning.  Deputies were called to a report of a shooting at the restaurant at 1:40 a.m.

They found 19-year-old Daquantavious Proctor of Augusta, who worked at McDonald’s, with at least one gunshot wound.  He died as a result of his injuries, according to Coroner Mark Bowen.

Two suspects were sought in connection with the shooting, but investigators now say they are in custody.  One was identified as 19-year-old Sameelya Grant of Augusta.  The other is a young, black male whose name has not been released yet.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact Investigator Sean Morrow at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-432-5281.
