Mark your calendars for Monday, March 13.  The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will be holding a job fair at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.

There are job openings for a variety of skilled-trade and professional positions.

Team members from Facility Maintenance, Fire Rescue, Fleet Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Library Services, Parks Recreation and Events, Road and Bridges, Stormwater Compliance and Operations, Technology, Tax Assessor, Traffic Engineering, Utility Permitting, Water Utility, and Columbia County Sheriff's Office will be on hand to give an overview of positions that are available and to answer questions.

Columbia County has a new starting base pay of $15 an hour, eleven paid holidays, education tuition reimbursement, retirement plan, employee medical clinic, free life insurance, wellness program and employee fitness center.

The job fair Monday, March 13, will be held at the Columbia County Exhibition Center, 212 Partnership Drive in Grovetown, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
