The announcement came one day earlier than expected, but former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced in a video this morning she is running for president in 2024.
Haley becomes the first major challenger to former President Donald Trump, who already announced he's seeking the Republican nomination. Haley had said two years ago she wouldn't challenge Trump for the White House in 2024, but changed her mind in recent months.
