The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the driver of an 18-wheeler was headed west near mile marker 10 when he lost control. The rig veered off the road, struck a guardrail and crashed into several trees.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. No other information is being released yet.
