Aiken Man Arrested for Credit Union Robbery in Beech Island Linked to Second Holdup

Aiken County authorities have made an arrest in connection with a hold-up last week at Peach State Federal credit Union in Beech Island.

Investigators say 27-year old James Antonio Frazier of Aiken was arrested early this morning after being stopped by deputies at 1:00 a.m. on Hitchcock Parkway and Trail Ridge Road.

Frazier is accused of entering the credit union February 2, brandishing a handgun and demanding money from employees.

Frazier reportedly got into a car and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He has been booked into the Aiken County Detention Center on charges of Robbery, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and (2) counts of Kidnapping.

The investigation is still ongoing and information will be released as it becomes available.
