The South Carolina Highway Patrol is on the scene of what's said to be a serious accident on I-20 WB near Exit 1 in Aiken County.
Emergency crews were called to the crash at 10:02 a.m. today. Injuries are being reported, but authorities don't know how seriously anyone was hurt.
Both westbound lanes are closed while emergency vehicles are on the scene. Motorists will have to take an alternate route for the time being. We'll have more details as they become available.
