An Evans woman was arrested recently in connection with thefts reported by neighbors as well as her own family.

A report from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Shaira Khan is accused in the incidents at her family's home on Conn Drive, as well as several neighbors.

The incident report says Khan is accused of taking almost $3,000 worth of guns and $1,200 worth of jewelry from her family's home.  One neighbor told investigators they're missing 8 watches valued at over $7,100 along with $5,000 worth of other jewelry.  Jewelry and shoes were also reported missing from another neighbor's home with a value of more than $11,000.  The sheriff's office says the total value of the thefts was believed to be $27,000.

Khan was taken into custody and charged with Theft by Taking, Burglary, and Larceny.  No break-ins were reported at any of the homes where items were taken.
