The Federal Aviation Administration has announced a nationwide technical outage today that has resulted in hundreds of cancelled flights so far.
Officials say the outage is the result of the failure of the FAA's "Notice to Air Missions" systems, which alerts pilots and other personnel about airborne issues and other delays at airports across the country.
Officials say there's no estimate as to when the necessary repairs will be made.
