Christmas Festival and Trees for Troops December 1 at Fort Gordon

The annual Christmas Festival and Trees for Troops event will be held this Thursday, December 1, at Fort Gordon.

Free Christmas trees will be provided to active-duty E1-E4 or their spouse/dependent from 4-5 pm on Barton Field.  The distribution to all other military ID cardholders, retirees or their spouse/dependent is from 5-6 pm.  Military or DOD IDs are required to receive a free tree.  One tree per family.

The Christmas Festival, which begins at 4 pm, will include hayrides, a bonfire, children's crafts and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus after they arrive at 6:30 pm.  Gift and craft vendors will be on hand.  Cookies and hot cocoa will be available. Free pizza and soft drinks will be provided, while supplies last starting at 5 pm.  The lighting of the Christmas tree and Menorah will also highlight the festival.
