Every state has them. Tourist Traps. I've always wondered about the official definition, so here it is according the dictionary:

tourist trap noun : a place that attracts and exploits tourists

I don't agree with that entirely. Attracts? Yes. Exploits? Not necessarily. Bestlifeonline.com listed their biggest tourist traps in every state. Coming in at No. 1 for Georgia and South Carolina? World of Coco-Cola in Atlanta and South Of The Border near Dillion, SC.

I've never been to the World of Coco-Cola in Atlanta, but did visit South Of The Border a few times as a kid. The famous stop along I-95 near the NC/SC border has survived a lot over the years. It's come along way since 1949. That was the year it opened  as a  18 x 36 foot beer stand known as South of the Border Beer Depot.

Do you like Blenheim Ginger Ale? Here's fun fact. It's made at South Of The Border.
