So a British man had a piece of an earbud stuck in his ear for five years.

One of my favorite guilty pleasures on TV is watching Dr. Pimple Popper and/or My Feet Are Killing Me.  One of the questions that ALWAYS comes up watching these shows, is how and why did people wait so long before having these things dealt with.

Which brings me back to Wallace Lee, of Weymouth, Dorset.  Wallace has been experiencing hearing loss over the last few years and instead of going to the doctor, where it's free, he bought a home endoscope kit to see if he could figure it out on his own.  Some of the Pimple Poppers patients try the same thing, but I digress.

The tiny camera alerted him to a small white object inside his ear.

He says, "five years ago when I was visiting my family in Australia I bought these little earplugs that you can put different attachments in, depending on the noise you want to phase out on an aircraft.  One of those little attachments lodged int there and had been there ever since".

He finally visited an ENT surgeon, who was able to remove the object.  Lee said "Instantly I could hear everything in the room.  The fog that was in my head for all those years went and left-and I could hear perfectly well".
