Early voting for the November 8 General Election has been underway in Georgia since Monday, October 17.  It will start this Monday, October 24, in South Carolina.  No longer will South Carolinians have to wait until November to vote in the upcoming statewide general election.

The State Election Commission says any voter can visit an early voting center in their county during the early voting period, which runs October 24 through Saturday, November 5.  Voting hours at all locations will be 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Check scVOTES.gov or contact your county voter registration office for early voting locations.

Keep in mind, voters will have to show a photo ID when checking in to vote.

Election officials encourage voters to see who will be on your ballot by checking a copy of your sample ballot by visiting scVOTES.gov.

A reminder that the deadline to request absentee ballots is 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 28.  They must be received by the county voter registration office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8.
