Two deadly weekend motorcycle accidents are under investigation in Richmond County.

The first accident was reported Friday night around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Peach Orchard Road and Tobacco Road.

The Richmond County Coroner's Office says 27-year-old Issa Gladston Malik-Kahn of Augusta was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a pickup truck.  He was pronounced dead a short time later at Augusta University Medical Center.  An autopsy is scheduled.

Then early Sunday morning, a motorcycle crashed into a guardrail on Riverwatch Parkway near the Augusta Canal.  The rider, whose name has not been released pending notification of family members, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:00 a.m.
