Missing Georgia Toddler Believed Dead, Mother Prime Suspect
It’s the news Quinton Simon’s family never wanted to hear. The 20-month-old toddler is believed to be dead, and investigators have named his mother the prime suspect in his disappearance.
Simon was reported missing from a home on Buckhalter Road in Savannah October 5. His mother, Leilani Simon, was named a suspect last night, but officials say, “no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.”
“Today marks one week since Quinton Simon was reported missing. We will be at his home where he was last seen with a team of search dogs and investigators. We will spend today gathering and analyzing evidence,” the Chatham County Police Department wrote just hours before announcing that Simon’s mother was suspected in the boy’s disappearance.
Authorities are expected to hold a news conference today to release more information in the case.
