Two men who were employed at Amazon's Fulfillment Center in Appling are out of job and face charges after allegedly stealing more than $22,000 worth of merchandise from the center.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Nathaniel Jones and 21-year old Malik Stone were caught on surveillance video taking items out of their packaging and concealing them in their clothing before walking out out of the Fulfillment Center.

Some of those items included Apple Air Pods, Apple Watches, Apple iPads, Nintendo Switches, Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones, PlayStation 5 controller, Google tablets, Microsoft Surface tablet, PlayStation 4 controllers, Oculus Quest VR headset, Samsung S10 cellphone, and Nintendo Switch games.

The alleged incidents took place between September 25 and October 10.  During questioning, Jones and Stone admitted they had taken the merchandise.

Both have been charged with felony Theft by Taking.
