Time to “Fall Back” and Set Clocks Back One Hour in November

SIAATH / ThinkStock

In case you haven't noticed, it's already starting to get dark earlier in the evenings these days.  Less than a month from now, it will get dark even earlier.

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 6.  That's when we "fall back" and set our clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.  You'll get an extra hour of sleep that night, but days will continue to get shorter.

The sun will start setting before 5 p.m. starting November 6, and the amount of daylight will get shorter each day until the winter solstice arrives December 21.

We've been on Daylight Saving Time since Sunday, March 13th.  It's always the second Sunday in March through the first Sunday in November.

After the time change coming up next month, we won't set our clocks ahead for the return of Daylight Saving Time until March 12, 2023.
