Just like in 2021, Amazon has announced it will hire 150,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time workers at its warehouses across the country, just ahead of the holiday season.  Most of the jobs are for packing, picking, sorting and shipping orders.

Workers can expect to earn an estimated $19 an hour, based on location and job title.  Some workers will also be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 in some locations.  Amazon has a Fulfilment Center in Appling which opened with more than 2,500 workers last year.

Just last week, Amazon announced it's raising pay for frontline workers by one dollar in an effort to hire and retain more employees.

Although many companies are ramping up for the holiday season by hiring more workers, most say they are cautiously optomistic about holiday sales, as Americans deal with decades-high inflation.
