A three-month investigation by Richmond County authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation netted the arrests of 119 people, including more than four dozen suspected gang members.
Officials with the FBI, Richmond County Sheriff Richard Roundtree and other law enforcement officials held a news conference this afternoon to announce the results of the investigation.
Authorities served 13 residential search warrants, seized 603 grams of cocaine, 45.1 grams of heroin, 1 1/2 pounds of methamphetamine, 1/2 pound of fentanyl, 33 pounds of marijuana, 483 illegally prescribed prescription pills, 47.2 grams of MDMA and over $214,000 in cash. A total of 176 firearms were also confiscated.
Sheriff Richard Roundtree said, “Operation G.R.A.C.E is what happens when all of our federal, state, and local partners work together and the numbers speak volumes.”
In addition to felony drugs and weapons charges, authorities say they also issued 740 citations, 537 warnings and 74 D.U.I arrests.
