A late-night crash in south Augusta has left one person dead.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said 55-year-old Kenneth Allen Key of Keysville was behind the wheel of a tanker truck that hit a vehicle parked on the side of the road in the 4600 block of Peach Orchard Road.

The tanker rolled over, killing Key.

He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 10 p.m.
